Everyone who’s anyone is heading to the stage these days, either in the West End or on Broadway. Julia Roberts has picked the latter for her stage debut, kicking off next March in a three-person play called “Three Days of Rain.”

Julia, who has spent a year away from acting following the birth of her twins last year, is already full of nerves. “By the time I get there, I’ll be entirely apoplectic. But the terror is part of the excitement,” she told the New York Times, adding that it is something she has always wanted to do.

The rest of the cast has yet to be confirmed but it will be directed by acclaimed Broadway veteran, Joe Mantello.

After splashing out £3million on an engagement ring when he proposed last month, Paris Hilton’s beau, Paris Latsis, has had to buy her another one now.

Skinny Hilton has revealed that the weight of the original ring hurt her finger and she was worried that the pricy gem would be stolen.

Now The Sun is reporting that her fiance has bought her a smaller platinum Cartier ring for everyday use. It’s just a good thing he can afford it!

The 2005-version boys and girls left Hazzard county for Los Angeles last night.

Johnny Depp has revealed he’s suffering from a new addiction - sticky toffee pudding - and he’s worried about the dangers - to his waistline.

“I love sticky toffee pudding from London. In some cruel way I’ve become dependent on it. If it’s on the table, it’s gone in two seconds - then after the second round I’m sick with worry about the calories,” he told The Sun recently.

You would have thought he would have grown sick of the sight of sweets and sugary goodness after being surrounded by it while making Charlie and the Chocolate Factory but we do like a man who knows how to enjoy his pudding…

We recently reported that Johnny Depp has had words with Pete Doherty, telling the rocker to get his act togther and now Damon Albarn has slammed Pete in a recent interview. He said he was appalled by Doherty’s Live 8 performance.

“The concert was all about raising awareness, but Peter looked like he was having trouble raising his own awareness. He looked wasted,” says Damon.

“With Africa, we’re talking about a nation battling through immense poverty and he can’t quite get it together to sing a song.

“On that day he just seemed like an odd image.”

Nicole Kidman has been spotted out on a date with newly single Australian country star Keith Urban. IMDB.com reports that the pair were spotted on a motorbike and then lunching together in New York this week.

The couple first met at a gala event in January but Urban only split from his long term girlfriend, model Niki Taylor, this last weekend.

Nicole recently revealed to Closer magazine that she also gets her children, Isabella, 12 and Connor, 10, to vet her dates - “I always tell them it’ll be up to the three of us to decide. He’ll have to get through three people” - so we just have to wonder whether Urban is the most recent man to pass the decision panel.
