Eminem cancels tour

EminemIt looks like the end of Eminem is coming quicker than we expected: his band mate, Proof, suggested last month that Em will give up performing at the end of his current tour and he’s actually pulled out of the European tour itself.

A statement on his website says: “Eminem is currently being treated for exhaustion, complicated by other medical issues. The shows are not expected to be rescheduled.”

He’s just finished a 23-date US tour and was scheduled to play a number of dates across Europe as well as in the UK and Ireland.

Jack Osbourne: our new weight loss hero

Jack OsbourneThey say TV makes people overweight - but not Jack Osbourne. Ok, so he was making a TV show rather than sitting at home with a family-pack of Doritos but still: he’s lost five stone while filming his new show “Jack Osbourne Adrenaline Junkie“.

He’s given up the drugs and alcohol that landed him in rehap last year and has cut out cigarettes and junk food too. He’s also taken up a gruelling fitness regime including rock climbing.

“People don’t recognise me any more. I’ve been able to lead a normal life for the first time in years,” he told The Mirror.

“I went to an award ceremony and stood on the red carpet waiting for the photographers to take my picture. They didn’t recognise me and snapped Peter Andre instead. But I’m much cooler than him.”

Even parents Ozzy and Sharon couldn’t believe their eyes.

“It was a real shock to them,” he says. “I hadn’t seen my mum for a couple of months. She was so excited and happy for me because she used to have a weight problem herself.”

Cameron Diaz gets broody

Cameron DiazAdopting children is clearly the in-thing in Hollywood at the moment: Cameron Diaz has admitted she’s getting broody and is thinking of adopting.

“I would love a family,” she told Now magazine. “I’m at the age where the wish for a child gets stronger. But who knows.

“I think there are a lot of children out there who need families, so I wouldn’t be opposed to adopting some kids.

“Bringing them in, giving them some love.”

Victoria gives up pop for motherhood

David Beckham and Victoria BeckhamVictoria Beckham is giving up the music business so she can spent more time out of the limelight and with her children.

“All I want to do now is stay in the shadows and look after my children. I’ve no plans to make music,” she told Chic, a Spanish magazine. “I loved my time with the Spice Girls. But that’s the past.”

She also spoke about her husband: “David is one of the most handsome, elegant and desired men on this planet. I am proud of being his wife. I’d do anything to make David happy.”

Madonna bounces back after horse mishap

Most of us would take a broken bone or five as an excuse to have a couple of months off work, with our nearest and dearest bringing us a constant supply of hot beverages. But Madonna, again, puts us all to shame.

She recently fell off a horse on her 1,200-acre estate on the Wiltshire-Dorset border and broke her collar bone, bones in her hand and cracked three ribs. She was treated at Salisbury District Hospital but has been discharged - and her spokespeople are saying the accident will not impact the release of her new album and all the publicity that goes with such a release.

Go, Madge! (oh… and if you don’t need him, can we borrow Guy to make hot beverages for us instead?)

Jen and Brad keep divorce private

Jennifer Aniston and Brad PittJennifer Aniston and Brad Pitt are taking advantage of a California legal quirk to keep the details of their divorce private.

Instead of having the divorce read in a public court, they’ve hired a temporarily judge, Jill Robbings, to help negotiate the split in the privacy of a lawyers office.

Celebrity divorce lawyer Raoul Felder explained: “This is a rent-a-judge situation. It’s something that can only be done in the state of California.”

The completion date for the divorce is set at June 30, 2007.
