Christina Aguilera: Britney is over

Christina Aguilera has been speaking candidly about her once rival, Britney Spears.

She reckons that Britney has “let herself go” too much to bounce back to her previous sex kitten image. Britney has been dressing down - with dirty, scruffy clothes and greasy hair - for over a year now and has added quite a bit of tub to her previously skinny frame while she’s been pregnant with her first child (due next month).

Christina believes “she’s let herself go. I can’t see a comeback on the cards.”

Time will tell…

I definitely think Britney could possibly make a comeback. She has let herself go a little too much, but I feel really bad for her. I believe a comeback will and can happen… just not right now. I’ll be supportin’ her, though.
As for Christina, why doesn’t she leave Britney alone? Just because Christina is living the high life right now w/ a new husband and life, doesn’t mean she’s gotta put Britney down.

i think that it is sad that Britney let herself go. i also think that if in fact Xtina did say those things then that is also sad, she should not be kicking someone while they are down. it is true that Xtina is much better than Britney vocally.

Christina Aguilera is jealous because Britney receives the attention Christina so badly craves for. Her vocals are mostly shouting because she doesn’t have the vocal ability of Mariah Carey (although she thinks she does). I went to Christina Aguilera’s concert, i wasn’t really blown away like i would have expected from a voice comparable to Mariah Carey etc. Britney may not be as talented vocally but she is so grounded and down to earth.Britney’s cd that was recently released was great, better than Back to Basics.

Btw Britney deserves to be more successful than Xtina. Britney is a sweet person, releases catchy songs, has way more charisma, makes exciting performances, and her voice is very sexy even if she doesn’t have the ‘standardized good’ vocal skills. She and Xtina and both very successful, but Xtina lost to Britney in this race. Xtina’s a flop now unless she can prove a comeback.
