Julia Roberts with her twins, Phinneaus and HazelShe was supposed to take a year off to be with her new twins - but then appeared in a Dave Matthews music video and did the voices for two animated characters (in Charlotte’s Web and Ant Billy) - so we take news that Julia Roberts is set to quit the business for good with a pinch of salt.

According to the National Enquirer, Julia is currently preparing for her Broadway debut next March but once she’s done with that, she’s thinking of retiring from acting to spend more time with her children, Phinnaeus and Hazel.

The National Enquirer is reporting a close source as saying: “Julia is done with Hollywood and starring in a Broadway play is the chance to make a graceful exit.

“She’s been talking about leaving Los Angeles and stopping the movie roles ever since the twins were born late last November. She wanted a change of scenery, a change of pace and a new challenge.”

The source continued to say that the Broadway role is a final bit of PR - for herself - before she finishes: “She wants to take some chances. Julia doesn’t to be known simply as a movie star - she wants to be known as the consummate actress.

“She wants her kids to be able to look back on her career as something more than just the star of Pretty Woman.”
