Jennifer Aniston has confirmed rumours that she’s to leave Los Angeles but denied the suggestion that she’s trying to race her ex-husband Brad Pitt to the altar.

“That’s a pretty funny one, that there’s a race,” she said at the Hollywood premiere of her new film, Friends with Money. But she does plan to follow Brad and Angelina Jolie down the parenthood route soon: “I hope to be on the road to having a family in the next year. I’ve said this before, but I just like being in a partnership.”

As for leaving LA, she explained that she’s “thought about it a lot for a long time.”

“This is not the most pleasurable place all the time. Because of all the bull… it’s exhausting, it’s silly.”

“I love my job but there are times when you wish there was more privacy but this is what I’ve chosen to do with my life.”

Matt LeBlanc and his wife Melissa McKnight have filed for divorce, citing “irreconcilable differences”.

The pair married in Hawaii in 2003 but according to the court papers, split at the start of this year. Matt became a step-father to Melissa’s two children from a previous marriage and the couple have a two year old daughter together.

A statement issued on by the couple notes that:”The dissolution is amicable. They remain devoted parents and friends. For the sake of their family, they ask that their privacy be respected at this time.”

Hugh Grant has admitted he has a new addiction to what most actors seem to hate - reality TV.

“I’m quite susceptible to reality television,” he confessed recently.

“I’m ashamed of that part of myself, as I’m sure we all are, but there are some good ones.”

“Wife Swap I particularly like. There was one where they took delinquent teenagers and put them through a 50s education, and another one where they put them through an army boot camp. Brilliant, really fascinating.”

It seems like Kate Moss and Pete Doherty are beginning to get rather annoyed at all their press coverage: both hit out at photographers this week.

Kate apparently hit a waiting photographer with her handbag as she left friend Davinia Taylor’s home and earlier the same day, Pete lashed out with a golf umbrella.

A source told the Daily Star: “Pete is unpredictable at the best of times but this time he completely lost it.”

“He was swinging the umbrella on the windscreen of the car and screaming at the people inside, who looked absolutely terrified at the attack.”

“It was really alarming behaviour - he must have been really upset.”

Mary J Blige is deeply saddened by Whitney Houston’s drug dependence.

Houston, who is addicted to crack cocaine, has been photographed in squalid conditions and is thought to be battling debts. The drugs apparently cause her to hit herself until she’s bruised, thinking she’s attacking “demons”.

“I’m saddened by the whole thing,” Mary told the Sun.

“Whitney is technically the best vocalist in the business.”

Mary has struggled with alcohol problems herself and believes that Whitney has the strength to overcome the addition.

“Whitney will come through. I have every faith that she will make a breakthrough. I’m just praying for her now.”

Christian Slater has apparently hooked up with one of the contestants of Channel Five’s Make Me A Supermodel. Christian, currently starring in One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest in the West End, met Jasmine at a party.

A source told the Mirror: “He met Jasmine at a party and was immediately attracted to her. Since then they’ve been out a few times and he seems quite smitten.”

“The feeling is obviously mutual - she couldn’t keep her hands off him all night after his play. They were holding hands and cosying up in the corner. Everywhere he went, she wasn’t far behind.”

However, it doesn’t look like it’ll be a long term thing. Christian has been overheard telling his friends that Jasmine has started to bug him: “She is hanging around a lot tonight and dragging me around. She is being a bit rude, I don’t know what’s got into her.”
