Chantelle Houghton, now Chantelle Preston, is having to face the first trial of her married life - getting of her fear of felines so that new husband Samuel Preston can get a kitten.

Ordinary Boys’ Preston, who married his Celebrity Big Brother co-star last Friday, told OK magazine that despite the marriage, they’re not planning to settle down just yet: “I want to spend about five years just together enjoying being married so we can travel.”

“Then when all the money has run out we’ll have kids - but I want a kitten first!”

Chantelle added: “I’m terrified of cats but he wants one so I’m trying to overcome my fear. A cat came into our kitchen the other day and I couldn’t stop screaming!”

• Charlotte Church has revealed she changed her mind about having Paris Hilton as a guest on her new TV show after Paris demanded £350,000 for a half-hour appearance. Charlotte said: “She demanded a ridiculous amount. But she’s a complete airhead. She was hardly going to announce anything world-changing.” Charlotte’s show starts on Channel 4 this Friday.
• Sharon Stone has confirmed that she has adopted a third child. Sharon started proceedings to adopt the newborn boy, Quinn, in June this year and confirmed the adoption finally became official this month. Quinn is a little brother to Sharon’s other sons, Roan, 6, and Laird, 15 months.
• Jennifer Lopez’s spokesperson has issued a statement insisting Jennifer “is 100 per cent not pregnant” after Jesse McCartney made a suggestion to the contrary last week. Jesse claimed Jennifer had left the film Dallas because she was expecting a baby but later admitted he had just “read it somewhere.”

Hilary Swank is reportedly dating Hollywood agent John Campisi after they were photographed kissing and holding hands during a romantic break in Rome over the weekend.

Hilary filed for divorce from husband Chad Lowe earlier this year and according to a friend, John was there to comfort her and accompanied her to the Oscars in March.

The friend told Life & Style Weekly: “Hilary cried on his shoulder when she and Chad split. He comforted her through that intensely difficult period.”

However, Campisi’s lawyer has denied the suggestion that the two are romantically involved: “Mr Campisi has a strictly platonic relationship with Ms. Swank”.

Paris Hilton has invested some of the money she made by herself into Richard Branson’s passenger space shuttle venture.

Paris has reportedly bought a seat on the first rocket flight for a cool $195,000, despite the fact the project is still in the planning stages.

But the heiress may be in for a surprise when she finds out the flight will be less luxurious than she’s used to - there won’t even be any toilet facilities on board and passengers will have to wear adult nappies instead.

A source revealed: “she was a fan of the Star Wars films and the idea of blasting into space thrills her, but I don’t think she’s done the research - the reality may not be her idea of fun.”

Hugh Laurie finds it more difficult than he thought to keep up his American accent while filming TV series House - and he complains that much it annoys his castmates.
