Nick LacheyNick Lachey spent Valentine’s Day publicly poking fun at his recent split from wife Jessica Simpson.

He picked up an award at Cosmopolitan’s Fun and Fearless Awards but confessed he wasn’t really either at the moment.

“It’s a little ironic to receive the Fun and Fearless Award right now because, in some ways, I feel that, at this point in my life, I’ve never been more afraid.”

Receiving the reward, he jokingly revealed he is currently reading a self-help book: “It’s called A Break-Up Because It’s Broken - I wish I’d read that a few years ago.”
