Natasha HamiltonIt seems this year’s two big celebrity trends are somewhat polarised: either having a baby with the man you adore (à la Angelina Jolie, Katie Holmes, Gwyneth Paltrow and possibly Britney Spears…) or staying resolutely single (like Sienna Miller or Keisha Buchanan). Natasha Hamilton is joining the latter camp after splitting from fiance Fran Cosgrave again.

The couple originally split up in January 2003 but rekindled their romance last summer and got engaged soon afterwards.

“It just wasn’t working out. Last Saturday we talked it through. We do love each other - but it ’s fizzled out,” Natasha told the Mirror this week.

Natasha is keeping the engagement ring though: “It’s on my other hand. I can’t bear to put it away in a box.”

Otherwise though, it’s the single stance all the way: “I’m trying to take my mind off the split. And one thing’s for certain, I’m steering clear of men for a while.”
