Kylie Minogue on the Showgirl tourSince being given the all clear by doctors a few weeks ago, it looks like Kylie Minogue is starting to plan her future again. Not only has she taken part in her first photoshoot since her treatment, she has also confirmed that she will start touring again, albeit on a limited scale, later in the year and will record more music at the first opportunity.

A close source has told the Sun: “Kylie felt bad her fans missed out [on her cancelled Showgirl tour last year] and wants to give something back. She’s looking forward to it.”

“But doctors have drummed it into her that she must take it easy and she has agreed to be sensible and not overdo it.”

“She has assured EMI that she will record again — and will be back in the studio as soon as she feels up to it.”

Her diagnosis and subsequent treatment for breast cancer has (unsurprisingly) had a profound effect on her life: according to the same source, she’s been “overwhelmed by the kindness and expertise of those who cared for her.”

“She wants to do something to help others and is keen to do lots of charity work. She has even spoken about getting more involved with the medical world in some way — she has become rather fascinated by it after seeing how it works close up.”
