David WalliamsAccording to the Sun, Little Britain’s David Walliams spectacularly failed to chat up Elle Macpherson at the Elle Style Awards on Monday.

Apparently, David approached her, out of the blue, with the opening line: “Good evening, darling. Are you a fan?”

But Elle had no idea what he was talking about so he went on: “A fan . . . of Little Britain, darling. For I am he.”

Elle had to admit she had no idea what he was talking about and that she hadn’t seen any of the series.

Oh the embarrassment…!
