Michelle Williams ‘disowned’ by former high school
Most high schools love revelling in the success of their former students but not Santa Fe Christian High School in Montana about Michelle Williams.
Michelle is nominated for the Oscar for ‘Best Actress in a Supporting Role’ for her part in Brokeback Mountain but her high school have actually gone as far as to disown her because they feel the film “promotes” homosexuality.
“We don’t want to have anything to do with her in relation to that movie,” the school Principal, Jim Hopson has told reporters.
“Michelle doesn’t represent the values of this institution⦠Brokeback Mountain basically promotes a lifestyle we don’t promote.”
Wow, what a generous and forgiving Christian attitudeā¦

so they didn’t mind when she played a formal junky/sexually precocious teen, doing everyone in the Creek and being an unwed teenage mother, then?

That kind of behaviour is ridiculous. There should be a law against narrow-minded bigots having any involvement in the schooling system.
Kids grow up bottling up their feelings and one day they just might take a gun into school, and shoot their teachers and classmates. Oh yeah, that already happened, didn’t it?
