Pink, with a kitten, awwPink has revealed to the Sun that she used to take heroin.

She started using the drug when she was thirteen as a well to rebel but gave up a few years later:

“Heroin is a horrible thing. I’ve seen first hand what it can do to people and it’s not pretty. But if you’re talking about drugs — you name it, I took it.”

“I was never that much in to it to need treatment. I just stopped one day on Thanksgiving 1995 and never touched them again.”

“For me drugs were just a distraction on the way to my ultimate goal, which is what I’m doing today.

“I found my chance and I wanted to go for it and knew I was going to have to work for it.

“Boredom is a big cause of a lot of problems for a lot of people. I was performing so I wasn’t bored any more. I had something to do.”

She also spoke about Pete Doherty’s current problems with the drug: “It sounds like it’s his way to be rock and roll. That’s sad.”

“In my experience people are searching for something else. In relationships, in drugs, with everything.”

“Sometimes when your life is full of pain, drugs give you an escape — then you end up dead or sick.”

“It’s not a good place to be but I do understand it. I hope he finds what he is looking for.”
