Kate Moss’s mum blames Pete Doherty for Kate’s problems

Kate Moss took her mum Linda for a pub lunch in Oxfordshire for Mother’s Day yesterday - but it was probably far from a fun conversation over the dinner table.

According to a source in the Sun, Linda “has gone loopy that Kate is back with Pete. It has made for a very tense Mother’s Day.”

“Linda thought he was a totally unsuitable boyfriend and blamed him for Kate’s problems. She’s trying to drum sense into Kate.”

Kate and Pete were spotted together at artist Jake Chapman’s house in Islington last week. The News of the World claims they spent the night having “wild sex” but a friend of Kate’s has told the Sun: “They’re not having a physical relationship. She still has strong feelings for Pete and wants to help him quit drugs.”

I think Kate’s mum is right, Doherty is an unsuitable boyfriend for any girl, especially a rich one who him and his pals can sponge off. Kate must be off her trolley to even glance at someone like Doherty by accident. Still, if she’s used to getting what she wants and he’s playing hard to get, then he’s playing the oldest trump card in the book. All Linda can do is be there when it falls apart to pick Kate up and support her. Who’d be a parent?
