Jessica SimpsonWe often forget that Jessica Simpson is a pop star but she is (apparently) and she’s swapped labels in her bid to reinvent/revitalise her career after her separation from ex-husband Nick Lachey.

Jessica has been signed to Columbia records for seven years but has now made the switch to Epic.

In a statement this weekend, she said: “I love all my friends and supporters at Columbia. I will miss them as I start this new relationship. Epic is in a new place with a new leader.”

“It just seems the right place for me as I begin my new journey.”
