Pete Doherty: “I take drugs because I love ‘em”
Pete Doherty has dismissed rumours that he takes drugs because he’s suffering from bipolar disorder or because he’s trying to fill a void - he just likes them.
“I don’t take drugs to deaden me, I take ‘em cos I love ‘em,” he said recently.
“I know they’re bad for me, financially crippling and I’m an addict.”
With prison sentences hanging over his head if he doesn’t clean up, he’s not admitting defeat yet though.
“It’s like being in a war, and now I’m picking up the pieces. I really do want to clean up this time.”
“It would be interesting to film someone like me trying to detox because then people would see the pressures, how hard it is.”

If you don’t like him don’t comment these f*cking articles.
What he needs is support not more wankers like yourselves that know nothing about him. Why tell him to leave Kate alone?
If she didn’t want him, she wouldn’t be with him when she likes.
Unlike you lot, she see’s there’s more to him than his drugs.
He’s talented and inspires a lot of people.

If u care about kate, u wud kno that she loves pete n pete loves her so leave them 2 it! u people insulting pete are so immature, u probably kno near nothing about the guy who i see as a man of great musical talent n a fantastic lyricist! He is also cleaning up his act n u cudnt imagine how hard that is, he needs some respect at least 4 that. He’s willing to give up the drugs he loves 4 kate, his band and the fans which shows he isnt ‘gross’ or a ’sick c*nt, he’s actually a very caring, loving person who just needs 2 find the right path!
