Victoria BeckhamDespite admitting to never having read a book herself, Victoria Beckham is set to co-write a beauty bible called “That Extra Half an Inch”.

“I’ve been working on this for six months. It’s been a really hard secret to keep as I’ve been so excited about the whole project,” she has confessed to the Mirror.

“I’m so glad people will know now, so I can finally talk about it.”

Working with Guardian-writer Hadley Freeman, Victoria has interviewed some of her favourite designers and included her own tips along the way. But it’s not going to all be focused on style in the designer price range.

A source from the publisher Penguin has revealed: “Victoria’s obviously a fan of pricey names like Cavalli and Dolce and Gabbana.”

“But she still loves to get things from affordable stores as their clothes are often as on-trend as those that cost 10 times the price.”

“The book is going to be absolutely gorgeous with some of the best fashion shots ever produced. But it won’t be the kind of publication that just sits on the coffee table for show. It will be packed with practical advice.”
