Julia Roberts makes Broadway debut

Julia Roberts has made her Broadway debut on Tuesday night in the first preview performance of her play “Three Days of Rain”.

The New York Daily News reported that the audience’s applause drowned out her opening lines - but after that it didn’t all go smoothly.

The newspaper reports that there was a prop mishaps in the second act: Julia “had to contend with a runaway prop tomato. The plastic veggie landed on the floor, bounced and echoed like a table tennis ball - a blooper that left Roberts briefly in stitches.”

“She broke character and couldn’t help flashing her trademark toothy grin.”

Her fans in the audience didn’t seem to mind too much though: they labelled “cool” and “fabulous” - and not just because she signed autographs after the performance.
