Brad Pitt to buy an Italian vineyard?

Brad Pitt is thinking of making a serious commitment in North Italy - but not marrying Angelina Jolie at Lake Como as has been much rumoured. Instead, the actor is planning to by a vineyard on an estate outside of Turin.

The estate, Fontanafredda, is a formal royal residence and Brad is apparently considering one of two vineyards available on the property.

A spokesperson for Fontanafredda confirmed the star had been to stay: “Brad’s visit was kept very secret, and only a handful of people knew that he was staying with us.”

“He stayed over a weekend which is usually quiet, so he was able to see the vineyard and the cellars where the wine is aged.”

“He was very interested in the whole process of wine-making, right from the vine to the bottle, and he was also very knowledgeable. He seemed to be interested in buying.”
