Britney SpearsBritney Spears is “aching” to get into acting after getting a taste of it during her recent guest role in Will & Grace.

She reportedly met with a group of producers at the end of February to discuss a possible sitcom about teachers, with the working title Detention.

According to US Weekly magazine, she read lines from the script and admitted that she was “aching to give acting a go”.

Will & Grace star Sean Hayes is also apparently considering a role in the show: “having seen the way Britney works, he knows she has potential,” says a source close to the actor.

The producers, though, were worried about the constant rumours that Britney is pregnant with her second child.

According to an inside source on the show, when they asked about this, “first, she laughed and said, ‘Do I look it?’ Then she assured them that she wouldn’t jeopardize a new project.”

“Britney is up for it. Everyone will be meeting again soon”
