The ring which Preston proposed with on Monday is a family heirloom but too tight for Chantelle’s finger. But she’s worried that people will read too much into it if her ring-less finger was photographed while she was having it resized - people would assume that the pair were rowing or even worse, that their romance was a sham.

According to the Sun, an inside source has revealed: “She and her minders have been trying to find a fake.”

“She’s so desperate not to cause a scare, so she’ll probably settle for a plastic gem from a high street store.”
