Tom CruiseTom Cruise has confirmed that Katie Holmes has joined him in Scientology and that despite Katie’s Catholic upbringing, their imminent baby will not be baptised in the Catholic church.

“You can be Catholic and be a Scientologist. You can be Jewish and be a Scientologist. But we’re just Scientologists,” he explained during at interview last week.

However, he claims that the decision to raise the child solely within Scientology’s belief structure has not caused any problems with his (soon to be) parents-in-law. Katie’s parents are devout Catholics but when asked if they approve of Scientology, he replied “absolutely, yes.”
