Nicole KidmanNicole Kidman’s publicist is denying that the star made a statement about the birth of ex-husband Tom Cruise’s daughter with Katie Holmes.

The Daily Mail first reported that Nicole had issued a statement, saying she “hope[d] both mother and baby are doing well” but now her publicist Catherine Olin is denying the statement.

“I’ve been deluged with press queries on the back of this and I’m completely taken aback,” Olin says.

“Ms Kidman never issues statements about her personal life. I’m her publicist and I never released this statement”.
