Mick JaggerMick Jagger refused to give up a hotel room in Vienna for George W Bush.

Mick booked the £3,000 a night Royal suite at the Imperial Hotel a few days before Bush’s assistants tried to book it for a summit meeting happening in the city - and all persuasion attempts by Bush’s aides to get Mick to swap have failed.

A source told the Sun: “White House officials had wanted to reserve the suite and all the other rooms on the first floor. But Mick and the Stones had already booked every one of them.”

“Bush’s people seemed to be under the impression that they would just hand over the suites but there was no way Mick was going to do that.”

It’s unclear whether this is a political gesture - since Mick spoke out against the war in Iraq - or just rock-star stubbornness though…
