Brooke ShieldsBrooke Shields loves the fact that she gave birth to her second child on the same say as Katie Holmes gave birth to her first child with Tom Cruise.

Tom and Brooke had a public exchange of words last year over Brooke’s use of anti-depressants to help with post-partum depression after the birth of her first child.

“You know, the irony is perfect,” Brooke has noted. “The world works in an interesting way, but we [were] both pretty busy that day.”

Brooke also notes that “rumour has it” all the action happened in the same hospital but she can’t be sure: “Again, I was pretty distracted.”

Despite the harsh words last year, she has reportedly sent flowers - pink and yellow roses - to the new celebrity parents to congratulate them on their new arrival.

“Brooke has a big heart. It was her way of setting aside her differences with Tom,” a source told the Sun.
