And while we’re on the topic of Tom Cruise, he took his wife-to-be Katie Holmes to the Los Angeles premiere of his new film Mission: Impossible III.

Wearing a frumpy figure-disguising black dress and white big-buckled court shoes, Katie/Kate looked considerably older than her 27 years. Her new hair-do and heavy (for her) make-up didn’t help. I’m not saying she looked bad - because she didn’t, she looked pretty and healthy, and not at all like she gave birth a fortnight ago - just older, more mature.

Perhaps this is part of the whole “she’s KATE Holmes now” thing: moving her from fresh-faced girl next door to classy Hollywood dame…
