Tom Cruise and Katie HolmesKatie Holmes‘ parents Martin and Kathleen are apparently “heartbroken” that they didn’t get to see their new granddaughter Suri until she was two and a half weeks old.

Tom Cruise’s mum and sisters were present at the birth but Katie’s parents were apparently specifically not invited to visit until Tom returned home after his Mission: Impossible III European promotional tour.

A source close to the family has revealed “they are heartbroken” at missing out on supporting their daughter through her first days of motherhood but are scared to speak out for fear that they will be cut off even more Katie and Suri.
