Paris HiltonParis Hilton and Lindsay Lohan apparently had a verbal slanging match at Hollywood nightclub Hyde over the weekend.

Paris and her younger sister Nicky reportedly had words, loud words, with Lindsay but the reason for the argument is unclear.

TMZ.com is reporting sources has claiming Paris is annoyed at Lindsay mentioning their friendship in interviews while promoting her new film Just My Luck, saying she doesn’t want Lindsay using Paris’ reputation to further her career. But Paris’s representative Elliot Mintz is downplaying the ruckus.

He said: “Paris was having a conversation with a couple of friends. Lindsay approached her table and at that moment Paris felt she was being interrupted and didn’t wish to speak to Lindsay.”

“A couple of words were exchanged and Lindsay went back to her table.”

“I can understand how other patrons in the club could have thought it had been a bigger deal than it actually was.”
