Kerry Katona with daughter MollyBrian McFadden has challenged ex-wife Kerry Katona for custody of their two children.

The ex-Westlife star has decided to take action after claiming Kerry is making it difficult for him to see their daughter, Molly and Lilly Sue.

Brian told the Mirror: “I’ve been driven to this. If I have to drop bombshells about Kerry in court to get my kids then I am prepared to do that. I’m doing it for the girls. I know they want to be with me. I will tell the truth and let the judge decide.”

A friend revealed that Kerry’s solicitor has been sending Brian letters announcing changes to his visitation rights: “The last letter two days ago, said his visits had been limited to once a month and if he wanted to see the kids he had to come to Warrington himself to pick them up.”

“It has made it virtually impossible for him to have any part in his daughters’ lives, which was the final straw.”

Kerry has repeatedly denied claims of cocaine abuse and neglecting her children in favour of a party-filled lifestyle - and believes she’s in the right to restrict access as she has:

“Brian should not expect to see the girls at a drop of a hat wherever and whenever it suits him. Neither do I think he should expect for me to let Molly and Lilly Sue go off with total strangers for very long journeys in order for them to see their dad.”

“The last thing I would want is for Brian not to see the children. I lost out myself on not having a father around when I grew up and would naturally hate for my daughters to experience what I went through.”
