Halle Berry vows to have kids - but never marry again

Halle Berry is determined to start a family in the near future - but after two failed marriages, she’s not banking on that route anymore.

“As I’m approaching 40, the desire to have something in life that’s more meaningful than movies and a career and working on them is becoming really important to me,” she revealed recently.

“Whether I have a child of my own or whether I’ll adopt, I’m not sure.”

“[But] I never want to get married again… It’s not something I plan on repeating. I guess you could say I have bad taste in men. But I no longer feel the need to be someone’s wife.”

“I once thought, you can’t have children if you’re not married. I thought it would just be wrong and now I realise it’s not wrong. The most important thing is that I would be a good mother who was present and was there - even if I was on my own.”

“My mother was alone and raised me and I think I came out OK.”
