Jolie-Pitt baby is “imminent”, according to dad Brad

Brad Pitt has confirmed that Angelina Jolie is set to give birth to their baby “imminently”.

Brad issued a statement to explain his absence from the world premiere of his new film Babel at the Cannes Film Festival: “With the imminent arrival of the newest addition to our family, I’m unable to join Alejandro [Gonzalez Innaritu], Cate [Blanchett] and Gael Garcia Bernal and the rest of the cast and crew in introducing the film.”

Angelina’s older brother James Haven has also flown to Namibia to be with his sister on the big day. A source has revealed:

“Angelina has always been very close to Jamie,” a source has revealed.

“She desperately wanted him to be with her during the birth so he could share such an incredible experience with her.”
