According to a source in the Mirror, Kate spotted Russell presenting his MTV show 1 Leicester Square: “Kate started squealing at the telly, saying she thought Russell was so sexy. He’s exactly her type - she loves the dirty rocker look.”

Kate’s best friend Sadie Frost knew one of his friends and she made the date. But “Kate didn’t want it to be an official date because it might have been awkward, so she and Sadie went along to one of Russell’s stand-up comedy gigs in the Cock and Bull pub in Islington last week.”

“Afterwards they all went to Annabel’s nightclub and Kate and Russell really hit it off. There’s a lot of chemistry between them.”
