Paris HiltonParis Hilton has admitted she hit a parked car on Thursday but blames the paparazzi for “disorientating” her.

A cameraman was filming Paris leaving a car park in Los Angeles when she hit the other car and then apparently left the scene without leaving contact details - which is punishable by up to six months in jail under Californian law.

Her publicist Elliot Mintz explained that she was distracted by the media attention: “Did she commit a crime? No.”

“She was swarmed by paparazzi .The intensity of the lights, flashbulbs, momentarily disoriented her.”

“She backed up, there was a minor fender-bender. No injuries. She then told me she notified one of the parking people at the facility how to contact her and asked the person to please pass that along to the owner of the struck car.

“Paris is a very responsible and a very good driver, she takes her driving seriously. This was unfortunate and it will be handled appropriately.”

According to TMZ.com, this is Paris’ sixth traffic violation of the year so far and late last year, she was caught on camera crashing a car belonging to then-boyfriend Stavros Niarchos into a parked truck in Las Vegas.
