Kylie Minogue on stage at G-A-YKylie Minogue performed live on stage for the first time in more than a year on Saturday night.

Kylie had to abandon her Showgirl tour last year after being diagnosed with breast cancer but having received the all-clear after extensive treatment, the singer decided to crash her sister Dannii’s gig at G-A-Y nightclub in London at the weekend. She was greeted with a loud cheer when she stepped onto the stage.

Kylie publicly congratulated Dannii on her new album and said how proud she was of her little sister. She then launched herself into an impromptu rendition of the chorus of Dannii’s hit ‘Jump to the Beat’.

A member of the crowd revealed: “there were a few tears. It has been a very emotional road for the girls. No one knew for sure whether Kylie would ever perform again, but she is obviously desperate to get back on stage.”

“Dannii looked a bit embarrassed when Kylie started singing one of her songs - I don’t think she had expected that.”

“But then she joined in and the pair of them sang a chorus without backing music. They sounded amazing.”

“Dannii has been so supportive to Kylie over the last year, Kylie wanted to show she was there for her too.”

Another onlooker added: “Kylie raised the roof when she came on. She danced with Dannii and seemed thrilled to be in the thick of it. She only sang a few lines, but it was great to see her back.”
