Victoria Beckham leads WAGS in patriotic fashion

Victoria Beckham caught out all the other England team’s wives and girlfriends (WAGS) at the weekend when she dressed down - but in a patriotic way - for England’s first World Cup match. But now they want to follow her lead and Victoria has turned into a seamstress to help them out.

A source revealed to the Mirror: “All the WAGS assumed that Victoria would be turning up to matches dressed head-to-toe in designer bling.”

“So she surprised everyone when she arrived at England’s game against Paraguay in a simple vest and a pair of white jeans customised with a small England flag.”

“The other wives went into meltdown because they were all dressed up to the nines. They’re all highly competitive - each one wants to out-glam the next. But now they’ve seen what she wore they all want to follow suit.”

“Posh is the matriarch of the group and what she does all the others follow. She looked great - she wasn’t trying to steal the limelight from [husband David and the rest of the team] and she cleverly showed her support through her fashion.”

Victoria has been spotted buying more red ribbon near the team’s hotel in Baden-Baden to meet the girls’ wishes: “Victoria designs her own jeans so she knows all about customising things. As soon as she was asked she set about trying to find fabric and red ribbon to sew the England flag on to the other girls’ gear.

“She’s been very busy with a needle and thread over the last few days!”
