Sandra BullockSandra Bullock is proud to have proved her critics wrong when they thought her marriage to TV presenter Jesse James wouldn’t last more than a few weeks.

The couple are set to celebrate their first wedding anniversary in July and Sandra has revealed they’re still going strong: “A lot of people, almost everyone, said, ‘They’ll never last - no way.’ Well, the people who knew us when we were dating - really knew us - saw what we both knew was there from the start; just the most incredible connection imaginable.”

It wasn’t all plain sailing at first though: Jesse pursued Sandra for weeks after the first met before she agreed to go out with him. However, when he showed up on their first date in a dream car, Sandra was completely won over.

She said: “It was just an incredible sexy Porsche Turbo thing that goes, like, 200 and something miles-an-hour, which I won’t let him sell now because it was our first date car.”
