  • Christina Aguilera has no plans to follow Mickey Mouse club contemporary Britney Spears into motherhood. Christina is set to realise a new double album, ‘Back to Basics’, and feels that’s enough to worry about for the time being: “Everyone’s asking about kids. I’m like, my album is my child. And I’m having twins!”
  • Patricia Arquette married her long-time partner Thomas Jane over the weekend. The couple held a small ceremony for family-only at the Palazzo Contarini, in Venice, Italy. It is the second marriage for each of them, after Patricia’s marriage to Nicholas Cage and Thomas was previous married to Aysha Hauer.
  • Father Paul Coleman, who married Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban at the weekend, has spoken about the exchange of vows at the Sunday ceremony: “[Nicole] got through her vows beautifully and so did Keith, but it was just such a human, touching, solemn, uplifting moment. That is the best way I can describe it.”
  • Dame Shirley Bassey has advised fellow Welsh diva Charlotte Church to take some time off to refocus. Shirley said recently: “Charlotte needs to take a long rest to think about what she’s doing. She was once the classical ‘Voice of an Angel’. Not now.”
