Cynthia NixonSex and the City star Cynthia Nixon has revealed that she doesn’t believe people have just one soul mate in life and that having relationships with different people can improve one’s sense of self.

She told You magazine: “My relationships with different men have awakened different parts of my personality. This has helped me understand myself better. I think you need different people to bring out different parts of you.”

Cythia left her husband and the father of her two children last year to start dating Christine Marinoni, an education activist.

Speaking of her new relationship, she said: “my private life is private. But have nothing to hide. So what I will say is that I am very happy.”
