Nicole Kidman, on the way to her wedding to Keith UrbanNicole Kidman’s publicist has revealed that Nicole was surprised by the level of support she has received from her fellow Australians over her wedding to Keith Urban.

Hundreds of fans lined the streets and cheered as Nicole was driven from her Sydney home to the chapel for the ceremony, and speculation had filled columns in the country’s higher profile newspapers as well as the usual magazines.

Nicole’s Australian publicist Wendy Day revealed Nicole had to be taken into a separate room when she reached the church so that she could regain her composure and reapply her make-up before being walked down the aisle by her father.

Day added: “she wasn’t just touched, she was gobsmacked, she was overwhelmed. She couldn’t believe the amount of support and warmth and … Australian-ness that was there for her.”

Wendy refused to reveal where the happy couple are honeymooning and suggested the media should “just give her a break” for the holiday.
