Johnny Depp denies Michael Hutchence biopic role

Johnny Depp has denied that he’s going to play Michael Hutchence in the forthcoming biopic about the INXS singer, Slide Away and even if he was offered the part, he doesn’t think he’ll be able to do it.

He said: “No one ever approached me about it. I don’t think I’d be the guy to play Michael. I knew him pretty well.”

“He was pretty broad, Michael. He was kind of a glam guy. He was like a god, like a shaman, so I don’t think I’d be the guy.”

in my opinion johnny denied the part just because of vanessa… probably he’s afraid that being with kate again vanessa could mind!!

As far as Johnny feeling as though he’s nothing akin to the “Shaman, God ” type figure, I would suggest to Johnny that he start watching his own movies and watching them with the perspective of an outsider if at all possible.
