Nick Lachey: “I don’t know if I’ll ever be over Jessica.”

Nick Lachey has revealed that despite his recent womanising and romancing of Vanessa Minnillo but that doesn’t mean he’s over ex-wife Jessica Simpson.

He revealed he’s working through his feelings about their split: “I’m in the process, but I’ve been consumed with the album and haven’t had a chance to feel sorry for myself.”

“I think it’s a process. I don’t know if I’ll ever be over Jessica.”

But, unlike Jessica who’s avoiding singing about their break-up, he thinks recording writing songs about their split has helped him: “I just went through this horrible, freaking time, but I got all these emotions out and it was helpful in the healing process.”

TMZ is reporting that their divorce is likely to become final next week - but with the financial side of the split still outstanding. Under Californian law, Nick is entitled to half the tens of millions of dollars that Jessica earned during their marriage and he isn’t happy that she offered him just a $1.5million payoff. The couple are expected to take the issue to court after the divorce is legally finalised.

i think nick should get 50% and spousal support because he had to put up with joe simpson bs and jess being so immature & spoiled. i think the simpson’s do not realize that we the people knew nick had more money that jess when he married her that is why joe simpson gave gave jess the advice to not sign the prenup papers, nick attorney drew up for jess to sign. nick really loved jess because he married her without jess signing prenup papers, after his attorny drew up the prenup papers. joe simpson was so greedy for money, it has backfired on him and nick is entitle to 50% because the prenup papers was not signed by jessica simpson due to her pimp father joe simpson. the simpson family does not want the public to know the truth. nick is not being greedy, 50% is what he is entitled to plus he can get spousal support and i hope he gets it.
jess is so fake and so is her parents. the christain simpson family wants the divorce to take place. how christain are they?

You are 100% correct! Joe Simpson is a perverted pig, who spends more time obsessing about his daughters than he does with his own wife. If my father ever made a public statement about my breasts, I would throw up. Jessica wasn’t half as famous before they got married, she was a Britney wannabe. After she married Nick and they scored the Newlyweds show, she started doing commercials, etc. Yeah–the American public isn’t that stupid, it wasn’t that long ago. Nick was the better half of that show anyways. Jessica should be ashamed if she is really the dumb stumbling blonde she acted like on that show. And you’re right, what a spoiled little brat. You all need to get a reality check? Its her money SHE earned it NOT nick why should he get 50% when its not his to start with?? He has a job he earns his own money so why should jessica have to give him her hard earned money?

You’re kidding right? As with all marriages both parties are entitled to half. Its like Nick saying in the beginning of their marriage “I’m sorry Jessica you can’t buy those $750 panties with my money” come on you get a reality check, she is young and dumb, and I know this is awful to say but she really is stupid in real life. As far as the money, it’s not “her” money, she was spending “HIS” money when they first got together. And, he is due any money they made from the Newlywed Show which ran into the millions! Do you think her dad would let Nick get away with just paying 1.5 million if the tables were turned? It’s been reported that Nick wanted a pre-nup in the beginning because of her wild spending habits but she said no and her dad said no, so Nick said ok. Now California law says they devide in half. Sounds good to me! Team Nick all the way! :)

I so want them to get back together but then don’t we all love Nick enough to not have him go through that heartbreak or better yet, nightmare of a marriage? Sure they look good together, but looks aren’t everything. Didn’t you all notice how unattractive Jessica became now that she is no longer with Nick? I sure as hell noticed.

It’s horrible to go through a breakup. Jessica must feel crushed that Nick who used to love her so much does not want to be with her anymore.It’s a nightmare to see someone you love and who still loves you with someone else

I think that Jessica was a spolied brat and Nick was to much man for her. I really used to like her but who sees a rainbow and decides top end their marriage. To have grown up as a youth pastor’s daughter she sure shows a lot of skin and enjoys hopping from one man to the other.

Hello, was i the only one watching newlyweds. I never saw nick working. just fishing and partying with his buddy. I wish they could get away from everone and the paparazzi and try to make ammends.
