Kate Bosworth hated always being ‘the new girl’ at school

Kate Bosworth believes her experience at school has made her more considerate on film sets.

Kate’s family frequently moved towns when she was young which meant that she was forever ‘the new girl’ at school and she spent a lot of time sitting alone in school canteens before she eventually made friends.

Now grown up, Kate hasn’t forgotten how that felt: “That’s why whenever I see anyone I don’t know walking into a lunchroom or anywhere [on a film set], I always invite them to sit with me.”

“I have this pain in my heart from what it was like to walk in with your lunch tray and not have anywhere to sit.”

Kate is still best friends with two high school buddies and tries to include them in her celebrity lifestyle.

She revealed: “I like depth in friendship… I’d rather have one or two amazing friends than a whole gaggle of them”.
