Tara Palmer-Tomkinson to have surgery to repair cocaine-rotted nose
Tara Palmer-Tomkinson is reportedly set to have surgery to rebuild her nose after pictures were published showing the extent of the damage caused by her cocaine use over the years.
A source close to Tara told the Mirror: “Tara’s been clean for years now, but the cocaine that she used to be addicted to has really ravaged her nose.”
“It started to collapse about two years ago but she’s been reluctant to have work done and she found clever ways to disguise it with make-up.”
“In recent weeks it’s been the focus of a lot of attention and she just can’t take it any more.”
“She’s been to a couple of events recently where people have made comments, and pictures of her afterwards have really shocked her. She’s been driven to tears and feels she has no other option than to get it fixed - even though she’s petrified about the whole thing.”
“She’s lived with it for years without anyone commenting, but the non-stop gossip has become unbearable. So many horrid things have been said that some days she doesn’t want to step outside her front door.”
“She knows she only has herself to blame, but she wishes people would stop laying into her. She’s not proud of her past drug abuse, but does that mean she has to pay for it for the rest of her life? She doesn’t want sympathy, she just wants to get on with her life.”
Tara has previously used Botox and other fillers to improve her nose’s appearance but the surgery to rebuild the septum should be more permanent and create a better overall shape.
