  • Joss Stone spent £100,000 to take her grandfather Edwin Skillin to the World Cup Final at the weekend - but most of the money, £95,000 of it according to some reports, went on a private plane to bring her back from where her Caribbean holiday. Joss took football fan Edwin and three other family members to the big match and it was quite a surprise for her granddad: a source revealed, “when Joss said she was taking him, he thought she was joking. He couldn’t believe his ears.”
  • Owen Wilson insisted on having a “spit bucket” next to him at all times when filming his new movie You, Me & Dupree because his character is constantly eating chicken wings dipped in milk: “I wish I could tell you that it tasted good, but I had a spit bucket next to me so I could gag it out after each take. Apparently, that’s a delicacy in some countries.”
  • Jack Black has revealed he used to move back to his mum’s house whenever he was short of cash before his big break: “When I was hard up for cash, I could always come back and live at my mum’s house and I did. I would have had to get a real job if it weren’t for her.”
