Will YoungWill Young is glad with the change in British law to allow civil partnership ceremonies for same-sex couples and is hoping marry at some point - although he denies rumours that he’s dating anyone.

He joked with New magazine that he would be following in the footsteps of Elton John, who married his long-term partner David Furnish after the change in the law late last year: “Would I ever do an Elton? Yeah, I think I would, actually. I haven’t thought about it before but, now that I’ve been to a few weddings, I think I would, if I met the right person and felt I wanted everyone else to share in it.”

“I do think it’s an important day, so I would like it to be special.”

“I think it’s a really good thing, especially because of the legal rights that come with being in a partnership. I mean, you hear horrific stories of families taking everything when one partner dies, which is horrible. It’s about time it happened in this country, too, because they’ve had it in Amsterdam for something like ten years!”
