No pre-nup for Cheryl Tweedy and Ashley Cole - but a name-change for Cheryl

Cheryl Tweedy and Ashley Cole both ended up in tears when Cheryl walked down the aisle on Friday.

Cheryl told OK! magazine: “He wouldn’t look at me when I first saw him and I was thinking: ‘Why won’t you look at me?’ Then I saw he was crying and it set me off.”

Ashley added: “I had a tear in my eye when I first saw her and I did cry – I’m not afraid to admit it! She just looked so amazing, like a little princess. I mean she looks amazing every day, but especially [then].”

The couple also revealed they haven’t signed pre-nuptial agreements. Cheryl said: “I think that’s defeating the point. We’re getting married because we’re committing ourselves to each other to spend the rest of our lives together. No ifs and buts.”

“I think [pre-nups are] disgusting. I could understand if you’re 93 and you’ve got billions of pounds and this 24-year-old wants to marry you in a month. But we’re a work in progress, we’re going to build our married life together not thinking about if it ever ends.”

Cheryl has also revealed she will be known as Cheryl Cole in the future: “I will now be known as Cheryl Cole. After all, if my friend in an office married her boyfriend, she’d take his name - and I don’t see there’s any difference with me.”
