Madonna and husband Guy RitchieMadonna’s spokesperson has cleared up rumours that Madonna and husband Guy Ritchie are planning to adopt a child.

The couple had been reportedly considering adopting a child - either in California or through an African adoption agencies - and Guy’s father John recently added fuel to the rumour fire by saying how much he would like it if he had another grandchild.

But now Madonna’s publicist has released a statement saying that the singer has bigger, charitable plans: “Actually she is adopting a village of children… Madonna is participating in the building of a school and home for hundreds of kids in Malawi, Africa and that is her current passion and commitment.”
