  • Janet Jackson insists her previous comments about getting married in September were “just a joke”. Both Janet and boyfriend Jermaine Dupri had been making comments about an autumn wedding but now Janet is taking it back: “that was just a joke. At least I don’t know anything about it yet. But we are happier than ever.”
  • Lily Allen has revealed that she met her manager, George Lamb, after he saved her from herself during a wild holiday in Ibiza when she was 15. She said yesterday: “I was off it and made friends with this guy - who’s now my manager. He took my mobile off me, rang my mother and told her he’d booked me on a flight home so I could sort myself out.”
  • Scarlett Johansson is designing her own range of retro-style trainers for Reebok called ‘Scarlett hearts Rbk’ with the emphasis on looks rather than high performance: “I’m not very athletic, but I like the idea of that Olivia Newton John ‘Let’s Get Physical’ women exercising in false eyelashes. I think the idea of aerobics being glamorous. It appealed to me.” The range will be released as part of the spring/summer collection next year.
