Johnny Depp buys home in Bath

He has had a home in L. A. for many years where they spend a lot of time. He has said as recently as last week, they live between USA and France. The “dumb puppy” quote is years old now and has been run down into the ground. Johnny has said many tmes he loves the USA and wants his children to grow up in and learn both cultures, so they have homes in USA and France. The island is for now a vacation spot and as for the Bath home…he is probably going to be filming in the area for some time and always wants his family near.

OMG I live like 20 minutes away from Bath. I’ve heard that he hangs out there, but if he has bought a house then he’ll be around more often and I might get to meet him as I go to Bath quite often. The only problem is though is that he has like 5 homes and he’ll split his time between them so it’s not like he’ll be permatly living there. anyway I’ll go now before I write a novel lengh reply.

Mary, I totally agree with you. This poorly-written article is outdated and mostly incorrect. I guess that’s why they call it gossip. Johnny spends so much time on location, it’s not really fair to say he’s lived in France for seven years. He’s an American, entitled to his opinion, and has earned everything he’s received. I don’t care if he lives in L.A., south France, Bath, or the Caribbean. I just want him to keep making his great movies!

Depp has the ability to assume the looks, speech and mannorisms of each charactor he plays and he is completely credible in each role. He also seems to love and respect his craft; always a gentlemen on the set. The fact that he is in a committed relationship and a great dad adds to his appeal. I wish him happiness in his personal life and may his fans leave him and his family in peace. In other words ladies (and gents) get your own guy and be happy too.

if he even bought a house, are they sure he only paid £500,000 for it. houses round there are more like £2,500,000. he must have found a very cheap one.

This is true I talked to a friend whose dad is a solicitor and he confirmed it. its so exciting that hes going to be living in my town. His daughter is going to go to school in Bath as well . :)

America is one of the nicest places I’ve been to. Everyone in Europe is so stingy and stuck-up you just need to learn to relax and help someone out once in awhile.

Johnny must be living in this area (St James Square, Rivers Street, The Circus, Royal Crescent area) as he was seen buying a loaf of bread in Smile on Julian Road. Wholemeal. Tracy who works in Rivers Street saw him coming out of there. We heard he is just renting a suite at the Royal Crescent Hotel. Will Young drinks in the St James Wine Vaults, by the way.

I simply love his work. I always want to see his Movies to see what kind of spin he will put on the Characters. Very interesting and creative.

I agree with you 100% if you feel to much pressure from your fans and the dumb dog with big teeth as you said of the film world, you have every right to have privacy and enjoy your time with your family. I am a singer. I am defenetly not a famouse as you but I have simpathy with your situation. I also think that poeple who don’t understad the pressure of being well known can put alot of stress on one person. You keep up the awesome work. I hope to see more films of you. God Bless.
