Eddie IzzardEddie Izzard wishes there were more famous straight transvestites because it stops him having to constantly explain himself.

Eddie is a big fan of cross-dressing potter Grayson Perry, who won the Turner prize in 2003 for his vases.

Eddie said about Grayson: “He’s a straight transvestite like me. Until he came along people thought I was making this stuff up.”

“The annoying thing is there’s only one Grayson Perry. We need 20 Graysons.”

“The creative people have to do it first as we don’t have bosses to stop us. But we need transvestite accountants, newsreaders, weather transvestites.”
