Ben Affleck: “I love being a father”

Ben Affleck has revealed he has no regrets about having a baby with wife Jennifer Garner.

Jennifer gave birth to their daughter, Violet, in December last year and Ben has told reporters he’s greatly enjoying parenthood.

He said recently: “I love being a father. It’s wonderful. It’s changed my life. It all sounds like platitudes and cliches, and that’s because they’re the truth.”

He’s also revealed why he’s been staying out of the limelight since he started dating Jennifer in 2004 - he was still stinging from the way he was treated by the media when he was engaged to Jennifer Lopez.

Ben became a tabloid target when he was dating Lopez and he explained: “You can’t help but feel injured by it. You’re like, ‘That’s not me.’”

“For a long time I got frustrated by it and expected truth and integrity… You realise it’s kind of a game, it’s a manipulation.”

“I didn’t want to have part of that so I backed off from doing movies, did some movies for money and then took a break.”
